Corn Shot Game

It has been called many things, but we call it Corn Shot. Grown in the Midwest so-to-speak, its roots trace back to 14th century Germany. Wherever it came from, it certainly has come to be known as a favorite pastime for those of all ages and in every geographic location.

Corn Shot is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden box platforms and corn-filled bags. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag thrown in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. The game is generally played tournament-style with an individual, or team, being named the champion at the end of the tournament. Try your hand at the Corn Shot.
